Well Mike, As you know I am the orginator of this mod. It came from when a repair method was being developed for the structural foam used in the early Q45 unibody. This kit was developed so bodyshops could repair structural foam. Stiffness increses of up to 40% in some members were noted in testing. Steve Mitchell used the foam on his Z31 and turned it to near modern levels of ridgitity when it used to be a horrible flexy flyer. The difference in my Z32 was not as great but it was quite feelable. Its one of the reasons why my car has such high spring rate but still rides pretty decently. The foam made a bigger difference than all the bolt on braces I added. When I was rear ended by the cell phone talking lady in the truck, my frame rails did not bend at all and did not require pulling even though her front end was smashed around the engine. Repairabilty is not bad either, you can dig the foam out of the rail, reweld a repair section and reinject the foam. The foam is quite agressive in sticking to things. Its still on my garage floor even after 4 years. It literaly had to wear off my hands and ruined my clothes. The Z32's fram rails have a large cross section and this is why I bleive the low density foam works in this car.
